Joining Ombudsfin
Ombudsfin is competent to handle complaints against the financial institutions listed in Article 128/1, §2 of the Law of 2 August 2002 on the supervision of the financial sector and on financial services.
These institutions are also mentioned on the specific lists of the NBB and FSMA (depending on the case), which are available on their respective websites:
- credit institutions;
- investment firms;
- electronic money institutions;
- payment institutions;
- lenders;
- intermediaries in banking and investment services;
- intermediaries in consumer credit;
- intermediaries in mortgage credit;
- credit servicers;
- all other institutions or persons referred to in this article.
When an institution or person exercises at least one of the aforementioned activities, Ombudsfin is competent for complaints submitted against it.
