Who are we?

Ombudsfin is the mediation service for financial matters. The creation, missions and powers of this service are mainly governed by Chapter VI of the Law of 2 August 2002 on the supervision of the financial sector and on financial services.

Mediation in financial matters is an alternative dispute resolution system for disputes arising between a financial institution and its clients or potential clients in the course of the financial institution’s regulated activities.

Ombudsfin is a recognised, independent and impartial qualified entity within the meaning of Book XVI “Alternative consumer dispute resolution” of the Code of Economic Law.
